A ‘cart pond’ situated on Totty Pot at OS Grid Reference ST48253 53317.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pond spans a field boundary and slopes at either end allowing access for livestock from either field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This  stone  built  pond  has  been  completely  rendered  in  concrete,  presumably  during  a  previous  attempt  at  repair.  This  has  greatly  complicated  our  attempts  to  repair  it  and  rather  than  stripping  all  the  render  we  decided  simply  to  re-render  the  entire  pond  using  further  cement.  The  pond  was  emptied  of  silt  in  the  summer  of  2017  and  re-rendering  occurred  in  the  spring  of  2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
